day|twelve update: 07|15|10

I thought I should take a little break from our Griswald family vaca to let everyone know that, so far, we have survived. God has been so good on the trip…over 25 hours of driving and not ONE altercation between the 3 kids! I’m dubbing it the “Miracle on I-40.” Seriously, it has been great and family camp in Kanakuk was an amazing time of bonding with the kids and a great time for Gina and I to strengthen our marriage. God provided a huge open door for us to go and while there we got to connect with many great people.  Two of those people were Mark Connelly and his wife Kay. Mark serves at the Senior Pastor at Mission Community Church and is a co-founder of a marriage ministry called 2Ignite. While the kids were “at camp” being challenged spiritually, emotionally and physically, Mark walked the adults through several teachings on marriage and God’s design for it. I will post more on that next week (and tell you more about the people we met) but for now let me just say that we’ve had an awesome time and are energized even more by what God is doing. He is good!
